Saturday, Oct 31 DAFT DISKO [FRENCH HOUSE & DISCO HALLOWEEN]

About the party

Daft Disko brings its French house and disco party back for Halloween at DROM, 85 Avenue A in the East Village. It takes over Saturday, October 31, from 11 PM New York time until 3 AM the next morning. Cheeky Entertainment Inc is the organizer named on DICE.

What to expect

The concept is a tribute-style night: the promoter lists a long run of artists whose music shapes the playlist, from Daft Punk, Justice and Cassius to Chic, Giorgio Moroder and Purple Disco Machine. Halloween is the occasion, but costumes are not mentioned. My take: a fit for people who want filter-house anthems and disco singalongs on Halloween rather than an underground techno crowd.

Music and lineup

French house and disco, as stated in the title and description. The artists listed (Daft Punk, Stardust, Breakbot, Modjo, Kavinsky, Todd Terje and many more) are inspirations for the music played, not performers booked for the night. No DJ is named in the description or in DICE's artist field, which is empty; DICE tags the event as DJ. Set times are not published.

Before you go

Doors are at 11 PM on Saturday, October 31, and the listed end is 3 AM Sunday, November 1 (New York time). Both the description and DICE say 21+, so bring ID. DICE's listing data marks door sales as not available. Re-entry, coat check, dress code, accessibility and the nearest subway are not confirmed.

Refunds

DICE: refund within 24 hours of purchase (not within 24 hours of the event), or if the event is cancelled or rescheduled
