Halloween parties NYC 2026 get a gift from the calendar: October 31 falls on a Saturday, so the party weekend runs from Thursday the 29th through Sunday, November 1, and our list has parties on every one of those nights. Friday and Saturday carry most of them, across Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens.

Saturday is also parade night. The Village Halloween Parade marches north up Sixth Avenue from Canal Street to 15th Street that evening; anyone in costume can march and watching is free, according to the parade organizers. The avenue is barricaded while it runs and you cannot cross it, so if your party is on the other side, plan the crossing before you set out or head over after the parade.

The other date to know: daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, when clocks go back to 1 a.m., per NIST. Saturday parties that run into the early morning get an extra hour, and so does the trip home. If you want more than one night, Thursday and Sunday are the quieter bookends, with a free 80s night in Bushwick on Thursday and a noon-to-midnight Circoloco session at the Brooklyn Navy Yard on Sunday.

How to pick your night

Thursday is the soft start, with only a handful of parties on the list. Friday is the second-busiest night, with electronic bookings at Brooklyn rooms like SILO and Signal and a string of rooftop and hotel parties in Manhattan. Saturday is Halloween itself: the most parties, the parade on Sixth Avenue, and the boat parties, which board in the evening. Sunday is for day-into-night sessions like Circoloco and a few dance parties that end before midnight, a good fit if you have to work on Monday.

Before you go

Tickets: several Halloween nights, including Horse Meat Disco and Circoloco's Friday, are already sold out, and the parties we picked sell through DICE with no door sales listed, so buy before you travel. DICE refunds are usually limited to 24 hours after purchase. ID: every pick on this page is 21+, and venues such as SILO and Knockdown Center ask for a government-issued photo ID or passport. Subway: trains run all night, but Sixth Avenue cannot be crossed during the parade, so allow extra time if your route goes through the Village. Costumes: rules are set by each promoter, so check the party page; for the parade itself, only people in costume can march.
