About YaY NYC

All the fun in NYC, in one place: happy hours and parties, with the facts you need before you go.

How we check a happy hour

We start from New York State's list of active liquor licences and from public maps, then read each bar's own website or menu. A happy hour is listed only when the bar itself publishes it. Every page shows the date we read it and links to the page we read it on.

When a bar publishes its times but not what is discounted, we say so instead of guessing. Prices are the bar's own, before sales tax (8.875%) and tip.

How we check a party

Parties come from ticket sellers, venue calendars and promoters. We re-read every upcoming party from its ticket page, mark the ones that sold out or moved, and take nights that are over off the site. When sources disagree (the lineup, the refund terms) we show both or say it is not confirmed.

Something wrong?

Tell us and we'll check it. Bars and promoters can also correct their own listing there.
