In short: 70 bars on this list, 62 with the deal spelled out. The cheapest drink we have on file: $3 at The Queensboro. Most start at 4pm. Most are in Greenwich Village, Midtown, Tribeca.
An oyster happy hour in NYC is a simple trade: shellfish at a discount, usually by the piece, next to a cheaper glass of wine or a beer. Dozens of places on our list discount oysters or include them in the deal, split between Manhattan and Brooklyn. In Manhattan they gather in Greenwich Village, Koreatown, Flatiron, Midtown and Tribeca. In Brooklyn, Williamsburg leads, followed by Prospect Heights, Fort Greene and Cobble Hill. Queens adds pán in Ridgewood.
The deals come in a few shapes. Some places price oysters singly, like Ten Bells and John Doe Craft Bar & Kitchen. Others sell a half dozen with a drink, as pán and Kissaki Sushi do, and Walters takes half off oysters, wine and beer together. Most run on weekdays in the late afternoon, and many restaurants honor them only at the bar. The variety is often the chef's or the shucker's choice, as Blue Fin notes, so ask what is on before ordering a round.
$20 carafe of wine 50cl
Daily open to 7pm · 247 Broome Street
Ten Bells at 247 Broome Street discounts oysters every day from opening until early evening, and pairs them with a carafe of wine. That makes it one of the few oyster deals here you can count on for a Saturday afternoon. Delancey Street on the F, J, M and Z is two minutes away, and its menu lists tapas such as papas bravas.

oysters $1
Daily 11am–8pm · 253 5th Ave
John Doe Craft Bar & Kitchen at 253 5th Avenue runs one of the longest oyster windows on our list, starting in the late morning and lasting into the evening every day. Oysters are the listed deal, and its site adds weekly specials such as a build-your-own burger night. The 28th Street R and W stop is two minutes away.

House Lager $7.00 · House White Wine $5.00
Mon–Fri 3pm–6pm · 275 Church St
Filé Gumbo Bar at 275 Church Street in Tribeca char-grills the oysters on its deal, and the weekday list adds beef sliders, Cajun wings, house lager, house wines and specialty cocktails. It opens in the middle of the afternoon, so it suits an early finish from the office. Franklin Street on the 1 is a two-minute walk.

Oysters $1
Daily open to 7pm · 65 Irving Ave
The Ten Bells Brooklyn at 65 Irving Avenue brings the oyster deal to Bushwick every day until early evening, with wine specials and Spanish tapas alongside. Walk-ins are welcome by its own account, and group tables go through Resy. Jefferson Street on the L is three minutes away, which makes it easy to reach from Manhattan.

Daily 4pm–7pm · 1563 Decatur Street
pán on Decatur Street is the Queens oyster stop, three minutes from Halsey Street on the L. Its daily deal pairs a half dozen or a dozen oysters with house red or white wine or a beer on tap, so it works on a weekend as well as after work. The menu lists both East Coast and West Coast varieties.

Market Oyster $2 · Mini Lobster Rolls $10
Daily 4pm–6pm · 1567 Broadway
Blue Fin is a seafood restaurant at 1567 Broadway, two minutes from 49th Street on the N, R and W. The daily happy hour prices a chef-selected market oyster by the piece and adds mini lobster rolls and crispy cauliflower. Since it runs every day, it is an easy stop before a Saturday or Sunday matinee in the Theater District.
Deal checked Nov 1, 2026 on the bar's own site.
Most oyster deals here are weekday affairs, and Walters, Strange Delight and Francie stop on Thursday. For Saturday or Sunday, look to the daily ones: Ten Bells, The Ten Bells Brooklyn, John Doe, Blue Fin, Jack & Charlie's No. 118, Docks Oyster Bar, Mayfield, Bayridge Sushi and pán. OTB in Williamsburg goes the other way and runs its oyster deal only on weekend afternoons.
Oysters are priced before the 8.875 percent New York sales tax, and a tip of 18 to 20 percent is customary on the full bill. Many seafood deals, including those at Legasea and Ben & Jack's Steakhouse, are bar-only, so take a stool. Check each listing's last-checked date before you plan a round.
