About the party

House of Grooves is House of Yes's first-Friday residency for Eli Escobar, who plays six hours open to close. On Friday, November 6 he takes the main room all night, while Sissies of Mercy play all night in the Onyx Room. The promoter calls it a love letter to the dance floor.

What to expect

House of Yes asks guests to "dress to express your best", which reads as encouraged rather than a strict code. Expect the venue's usual performances and surprise activations; the listing does not say what they will be. The night pushes people to get off their phones and dance. My take: for dancers who like one DJ telling a long story across a whole night.

Music and lineup

Confirmed in the listing: Eli Escobar (six hours, open to close) and Sissies of Mercy (all night in the Onyx Room). The listing does not describe genres. Set times beyond "open to close" are not published.

Listed on DICE: Eli Escobar, Sissies of Mercy.
