About the party
Sleepwalk hosts an open decks night at its space on Bushwick Avenue in Brooklyn on Tuesday, December 1. The format is the point: whoever puts their name down can get picked to play. Sign-up opens at 7 PM, the first sets begin an hour later, and the players are drawn at random.
What to expect
A low-key weeknight where the people on the decks come from the room rather than a booked bill. The listing gives no theme, dress code or production details. My take: this suits anyone who wants to try playing out in front of a crowd, or friends who want to come and back them up.
Music and lineup
No artists are booked; the sets come from people who sign up on the night and are chosen at random. DICE files the event under gigs, and no genre is stated. Slot length, equipment and set times beyond the 8 PM start are not confirmed.
