About the party
Open Decks is SILO Brooklyn's DJ night hosted by DJ and musician Steen, where anyone can sign up to play house and techno on the front room sound system. This edition is on Tuesday, November 24, with 5KULLK1SS as co-host, a bass-focused DJ the listing describes as drawn to heavy grooves and darker energy.
What to expect
A relaxed DJ hang more than a headline show: the first three DJs play first come, first served, then names are drawn at random from the sign-up list, with extra weight for people who arrived early. My take: this suits DJs who want to play out and anyone who likes a low-key weeknight in Bushwick.
Music and lineup
House and techno, per SILO's listing, played by whoever signs up. The co-host's own sound leans bass-heavy and dark, per the description. The full lineup is not known in advance by design.
Before you go
DICE lists 7 PM to 2 AM. Sign-up is in person only and opens at 8 PM, per the description; sets are 12 minutes and you get a half hour notice before yours. It is 21+, in SILO's front room at 90 Scott Ave, with limited capacity and an advance RSVP on DICE. Re-entry and coat check are not confirmed.
- Refunds (DICE)
- DICE shows a 24-hour cooling-off window after purchase for this listing.
