Thursday, Nov 19 Pressure Point - A Multimedia Warehouse Party

About the party

Pressure Point is a dance party series put together by original artists from several disciplines, and this edition takes over Empire Stage in Brooklyn on Thursday, November 19. Live players, electronic acts and a vinyl selector share the bill with dancers, projected visuals and on-site body art. The stated goal is to build community through an in-person sensory experience.

What to expect

This is more than a DJ booth: the program lists a movement performance by Sophie Ortiz and Charlotte Aucella, visuals by leilab, and tattoos, piercings and tooth gems from chikittona, shinysharpthings and wholelottarhinestones. The listing asks for no phones, and tickets are described as limited. My take: a good pick if you want a hands-on art party rather than a straight club night.

Music and lineup

From the DICE description: live instrumentation by Disco Vampire and Noah Lexi, live electronic music by Maul Couple, beats by nigh.tv.isions and a vinyl set by theoretic. The promoter does not name genres. Set times are not confirmed.

Before you go

Doors are listed at 9:30 PM on Thursday, November 19, and the event ends at 2 AM. It is 21+. The listing has a no-phones policy. The listed address is 229 Empire Boulevard, Brooklyn. Whether the tattoos, piercings and tooth gems cost extra, re-entry, bag or coat check, accessibility and the nearest subway are not confirmed.

Refunds

DICE: refund within 24 hours of purchase (not within 24 hours of the event), or if the event is cancelled or rescheduled
