About the party

Tavern 29, a bar in a converted 19th-century townhouse on East 29th Street, hosts a New Year's Eve party presented by Joonbug, from 9 PM on December 31 to 4 AM. The listing describes three levels of party space with exposed brick and a cabin-style second floor.

What to expect

A live DJ, a DJ-led countdown at midnight and a complimentary champagne toast, per the listing. VIP tickets add reserved seating, bottle service and access to private lounges. My take: a classic bar-style NYE for groups who want a countdown and a dance floor without a big-venue production.

Music and lineup

A live DJ playing top 40, hip hop, house and mash ups, per the listing. The DJ is not named.
