About the party

THE KAGE Chapter 01 combines sanctioned fights and a club night at Capitale on the Bowery on Saturday, November 28, Thanksgiving weekend. An octagon cage is set up in the middle of the main ballroom, with house DJs and live performance around it, and after the main event the room turns into an after-hours party. The night is presented by The Kage Presents and powered by Tilt Rips.

What to expect

The setting is a big part of it: Capitale is the landmarked former Bowery Savings Bank by Stanford White, a Beaux-Arts banking hall with 65-foot vaulted ceilings and a restored stained-glass skylight. The first part of the night is built around the fight card, and the dancing takes over at the after-hours. VIP tickets add a separate entrance, priority check-in and viewing closest to the cage, with tables and bottles on request. My take: this is for people who want a spectacle with their night out, not a straight dance-floor party.

Music and lineup

House music DJs and live performance are confirmed in the promoter's description, but no names are listed on DICE. The promoter points to thekagepresents.com and Instagram for the fight card and music lineup; the lineup is not confirmed here. The after-hours runs in the main ballroom and the Gallery Room.

Run of show as listed (New York time): doors and arrival at 8 PM, the ballroom opens and fights begin at 8:30 PM, interludes and the main event around 11 PM, after-hours from 12:30 AM, close at 4 AM.
