About the party

An open-deck DJ night for Afrobeats, Amapiano, Afro House, Afro Latin and Latin House at Acoustik Garden Lounge on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, Thursday November 5. What to expect

A community night where DJs take turns behind the decks in 15-minute slots. DJs who register online get priority on a first-come basis; remaining slots are picked at random through the evening, and DJs get a heads-up before they play. The kitchen is open with food all night and drink specials. My take: good for DJs who want floor time and for dancers who enjoy hearing many styles in one night.
