About the party

BOOTS! brings its 60s Holiday Dance Party to The Sultan Room in Bushwick on Friday, Dec 11. The Sultan Room frames it as a 1960s-style holiday go-go party, billed as one last go-go night under the mistletoe, with vinyl DJs, holiday decor and a team of go-go dancers dressed as elves.

What to expect

Expect a retro dance floor rather than a club night: go-go elves, dreamy decor and records from the rock'n'soul end of the 60s. A 60s look fits the theme, but no dress code is stated. My take: made for people who love 60s soul and rock'n'roll records and want a festive night that is not built around house or techno.

Music and lineup

The Sultan Room describes the music as rock'n'soul played on vinyl, with Abby Jeanne named as a special guest DJ. The other DJs are not named, and set times are not confirmed.
