Things to do in NYC in November 2026 start with three dates: the TCS New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 1, the Veterans Day Parade on Fifth Avenue on Wednesday, November 11, and the 100th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 26. After dark, our list has 177 published parties for the month, peaking on Friday, November 13 and at Time Warp NYC in the Brooklyn Navy Yard on November 20 and 21.

November in New York opens with Marathon Sunday and the end of daylight saving time on the same day, puts a parade on Fifth Avenue in the middle, and closes with Thanksgiving week and a long weekend. In between come four full weekends of parties.

We pulled every published party on our list with a November 2026 date: 177 at 45 venues. Brooklyn hosts 97, Manhattan 66 and Queens 14. Saturdays carry 71 and Fridays 64, leaving 42 for Sunday through Thursday. By sound, 45 are tagged house, techno or trance and 36 Latin or reggaeton; 19 are rooftop nights and 26 start before 8 p.m. Below, week by week, are the standout nights, each linked to its party page for tickets, age rules and status, then six happy hours near the busiest venues.

November 1 to 8: Marathon Sunday, then the first full weekend

The 2026 TCS New York City Marathon is on Sunday, November 1. New York Road Runners says the race finishes in Central Park and that this year marks 50 years of the five-borough course. See where to watch the NYC Marathon for bars along the course. Clocks also fall back an hour early that morning, per NIST, so Halloween Saturday night runs an hour longer. Eight parties close out Halloween weekend on Sunday, including Run Punch Vol. 3, a marathon after-party at Moondog HiFi in Bushwick and Circoloco's Sunday session at Brooklyn Storehouse from midday.

The week of November 2 to 8 has 50 parties, 39 of them on Friday and Saturday. Friday the 6th brings B3K Invites NY with Brutalismus 3000 and Dorian Electra at Knockdown Center in Maspeth, the only November party on our list open to 18 and up, and Eli Escobar all night at House of Yes. Volkoder's set at The Chocolate Factory is already sold out. On Saturday the 7th, Benji B plays Public Records and Zombies in Miami play live at The Chocolate Factory.

November 9 to 15: Veterans Day and the month's busiest Friday

Veterans Day falls on Wednesday, November 11. The United War Veterans Council, which organizes the parade, lists the 2026 New York City Veterans Day Parade on Fifth Avenue that day; start time and route were not posted when we checked, so look at its site before you go. That evening, Date Nite: Vinyl Happy Hour at Sleepwalk in Williamsburg is one of four Wednesday editions this month.

The week has 48 parties, and Friday the 13th is the busiest night of November on our list, with 21. Pick by sound: Cut Copy's DJ set at Elsewhere, Durations with Dasha Rush at Public Records, or The Hustle, a 70s disco night at DROM. Kyle Cooke at Marquee is sold out, and DJ Snake plays Marquee the night before.

Saturday the 14th has 20 more: DAX J open to close at Knockdown Center, DJ Sprinkles at Public Records and Eli Escobar and Bag Raiders at SILO Brooklyn.

November 16 to 22: Time Warp weekend

The third week is quiet midweek and heavy on the weekend: 40 parties, 34 of them on Friday and Saturday. The headline is Time Warp NYC at Duggal Greenhouse in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, listed with a Friday pass, a Saturday pass and a two-day pass for November 20 and 21. Thursday the 19th warms up with Techno Thursday at SILO Brooklyn.

If Time Warp is not your scene, Friday also has Eptic at SILO Brooklyn, Take Me Out, a 2000s disco punk night at DROM, and Kasango at Somewhere Nowhere. Saturday brings Snakehips at Elsewhere and Joshwa open to close at 99 Scott. On Sunday, Shelter with Timmy Regisford starts in the afternoon at Public Records.

November 23 to 29: Thanksgiving week

Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26, per the federal holiday calendar, and the week has 31 parties on our list. Wednesday the 25th, Thanksgiving Eve, is the big night, with seven parties, among them Flashback with Louie Vega at Superior Ingredients and Soul in the Horn with Natasha Diggs at The Chocolate Factory. Our Thanksgiving Eve plan maps the night, and the Thanksgiving Eve party page keeps the lineup current.

Thursday is the 100th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which Macy's says airs live on NBC and Peacock. Macy's had not posted a 2026 route map when we checked, so check its site closer to the day. Only one party is listed that night: Groundcontrol's Thanksgiving at Superior Ingredients in Williamsburg.

The long weekend picks up on Friday with Sidepiece at Marquee and Luciid at SILO Brooklyn. Saturday the 28th has 13 parties, led by Felix Da Housecat at House of Yes and MPH at Knockdown Center.

Weekly regulars and happy hours by theme

Some nights repeat all month. Every Friday and Saturday there is a reggaeton rooftop party at Lost in Paradise in Long Island City, Monstera at Sea Wolf in Bushwick, and Reggaeton Fridays and Safaera Saturdays at The Delancey on the Lower East Side. Lyra Rooftop Party runs six nights at Magic Hour in the Garment District, Haus of Joon plays Somewhere Nowhere every Saturday, and Loco Carnaval closes every Sunday there. For the next few days, check this weekend's parties.

The six happy hours above each sit within about seven minutes on foot of a busy party venue, one per theme: a pub, oysters, cheap beer, karaoke, a sports bar and a rooftop. Browse more by theme on our oyster, late-night and rooftop happy hour pages.

How we put this together

We pulled every published party on our list with a November 2026 night date: 177 parties at 45 venues, last checked October 23, 2026. Party details come from the ticket listings linked on each party page, and we grouped them by week and by genre tags. Happy hour picks come from each bar's own website, last checked between October 18 and October 22, 2026; walking times are straight-line distances between bar and venue coordinates at about 80 meters a minute. The marathon date and course facts come from nyrr.org, the Veterans Day Parade date from uwvc.org, the Macy's parade date and broadcast from macys.com, the Thanksgiving date from opm.gov and the end of daylight saving time from nist.gov. Those pages could not be fetched directly on October 23, 2026, so we confirmed them through web searches limited to each official domain that returned the pages' own text.
