Saturday, Nov 28 Afrobeat Nights NYC

About the party

Afrobeat Nights NYC takes over The Sultan Room in Bushwick on Saturday, November 28. The organizers bill the series as a way into Afro culture through music, with a selection curated from around the world, and The Sultan Room presents it.

What to expect

The focus is on the music and the culture around it, with birthdays and table bookings handled through a text line in the listing. No DJs are named. My take: a good pick for a late Saturday of Afrobeats and Amapiano when you care more about the sound than a specific headliner.

Music and lineup

DICE tags this as a DJ night. The promoter names Afrobeats, Amapiano, Afrohouse, Gqom and Dancehall. No DJs or set times are confirmed.

Before you go

DICE lists the start at 11 PM and the end at 4 AM. The event is 21+. The venue is at 234 Starr St in Bushwick. For birthdays or table and bottle service, the DICE listing gives a number to text. Dress code, re-entry, coat check and accessibility are not confirmed.

Refunds

DICE: refund within 1 hours of purchase (not within 24 hours of the event), or if the event is cancelled or rescheduled
