About the party
Calvin Spades & Friends is on The Crown, the rooftop at 50 Bowery in Chinatown, on Saturday, Oct 24, from 10 PM to 2 AM. Joonbug presents it under the POST UP banner as a fashion industry mixer that doubles as a dance party, aimed at models, designers, stylists, brand owners and other creatives. House DJs are billed to run the music all night.
What to expect
Expect a crowd that came partly to network and partly to dance. The description sets a dress-to-impress code and says entry is at the doorman's discretion. My take: a fit if you work in or around fashion and want a social rooftop night with house music rather than a pure club night.
Music and lineup
The promoter calls the night a celebration of house music and names melodic techno, melodic house, progressive house and tech house. Calvin Spades appears in the title, but DICE lists no performers, so the other DJs and set times are not confirmed.
Before you go
Doors at 10 PM, ending at 2 AM per DICE; the event is 21+. Dress to impress, and the door decides entry. Re-entry, coat check, refund terms and whether the rooftop is covered or heated are not confirmed.
Before the party: happy hours nearby
Happy hours within a short walk of The Crown (Rooftop) that run on Saturday before doors, with the deal as published.
