Wednesday, Nov 4 DOWNSTAIRS: Party With the Gods (Marathon Afters)

About the party

Purgatory in Bushwick hosts a TCS NYC Marathon after party with a Greek gods, Mount Olympus theme on Wednesday, November 4, billed in the title as DOWNSTAIRS. DICE lists it from 8 PM until midnight. It is open to everyone, runners, spectators and the wider community, and doubles as a fundraiser for the Hetrick-Martin Institute, which provides free mental health care to LGBTQIA+ BIPOC youth in New York.

What to expect

A sweaty dance floor party with games and a raffle. The raffle prizes named in the listing are a trapeze class for two at Circus Academy of NY and tickets to the Area 53 adventure park. Guests are encouraged to dress in their most godly attire; nothing says it is required. The organizer calls it the last event in Tayler's fundraising for the Hetrick-Martin Institute, and donations are invited. My take: this suits marathon finishers and supporters who want a short weeknight celebration that also raises money for a cause.

Music and lineup

The DICE performer field lists Zoobiana and Gatite Gangster. The description promises a big DJ lineup but names nobody, so whether those two are DJs and whether more acts will join is not confirmed. Genres and set times are not published.

Listed on DICE: Zoobiana, Gatite Gangster.
