Thursday, Nov 12 DOWNSTAIRS: Solid Selections

About the party

DOWNSTAIRS: Solid Selections is an early Thursday dance session at Purgatory, 675 Central Avenue in Bushwick, on November 12. Purgatory presents it itself, and DICE lists it from 8 PM to 10 PM. The pitch is simple: a dance floor running on house, disco, funk and what the promoter calls global grooves.

What to expect

A short, early slot rather than a late club night, built around the record selections. The listing names no theme, dress code or production, and no DJ is named. My take: this suits people who want to dance to house, disco and funk on a Thursday and still be done by 10 PM.

Music and lineup

The promoter's description names the styles: house, disco, funk and global grooves. No DJ or artist is named, and it is not confirmed whether Solid Selections is a DJ, a crew or simply the name of the night. DICE files the event under Gigs rather than DJ. Set times are not published.

Before you go

DICE lists doors and start at 8 PM on Thursday, November 12, and the end at 10 PM. The description talks about dancing all night, but the listed end is 10 PM. 21+. The title says DOWNSTAIRS; which room at Purgatory that means is not spelled out. DICE does not list door sales, so get your ticket on DICE in advance. ID details, re-entry, coat check, accessibility and nearest subway are not confirmed.

Refunds (DICE)

DICE did not list a refund policy for this event when the page was read on 1 November 2026. Check the terms shown at checkout.
