About the party

For Halloween, the Newsroom Speakeasy in Long Island City becomes The Haunted Speakeasy on Friday, Oct 30, from 10 PM to 2 AM. AIM Hospitality builds the night around a ghost story cast with flappers, gangsters and spirits, playing on the speakeasy setting.

What to expect

The promoter asks guests to come dressed to impress and in character, whether as a ghost, a ghoul or a gumshoe, and to come ready to dance. Tables can be reserved by email. My take: for people who like a themed costume night in a speakeasy room more than a DJ-led club.
