Halloween weekend NYC 2026: the night-by-night party plan
Halloween falls on a Saturday in 2026, so the parties run four nights, from Thursday, October 29 to Sunday, November 1. A smart Halloween weekend NYC plan saves its energy for Saturday: the Village Halloween Parade steps off on Sixth Avenue at 7 p.m., then House of Yes, Elsewhere, SILO Brooklyn and the Lower East Side hotel parties run toward sunrise. For pre-drinks, Dive Bar BK in Bushwick, Ten Bells on the Lower East Side and Kingston Hall in the East Village all run Saturday happy hours a few minutes from the parties.

The shape of the weekend is simple. Thursday is a warm-up for the clubs. Friday is the first full night, with hotel rooftops in Manhattan and big rooms in Brooklyn. Saturday is Halloween itself: daytime rooftops, evening boat cruises, the parade on Sixth Avenue, then the longest night of the year on the city's dance floors. Sunday is for day parties and one last dance.
Bushwick is the center of gravity, with House of Yes, Elsewhere, SILO Brooklyn, The Sultan Room, Sea Wolf and The Chocolate Factory a short walk from each other. The Lower East Side and East Village form the Manhattan cluster, and Williamsburg splits between the Wythe Avenue waterfront and the Bushwick Avenue side. Thursday, October 29: the warm-up

Friday has 45 parties on our list, 37 of them Halloween themed. Saturday, October 31: Halloween night
Saturday is the peak, with 62 parties on our list and 57 of them Halloween themed. The day starts on the roofs: <a href="/parties/1-hotel-rooftop-halloween-10-31-2026-10-31">1 Hotel Rooftop Halloween</a> and <a href="/parties/saints-and-sinners-on-the-roof-2026-10-31">Saints & Sinners on the Roof</a> at Superior Ingredients both begin in the afternoon, and the <a href="/parties/parapara-halloween-party-2026-10-31">ParaPara Halloween Party</a> at Seventh Heaven in Bushwick wraps up by early evening. Five boat parties leave in the evening, including <a href="/parties/horror-on-the-hudson-halloween-yacht-booze-cruise-2026-10-31">Horror on the Hudson</a> and the <a href="/parties/halloween-dance-cruise-2026-2026-10-31">Halloween Dance Cruise</a> on the Liberty Belle from Pier 36. The Village Halloween Parade: date, route and how to march
The 53rd Village Halloween Parade is on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 7 p.m. According to the parade's official site, it starts at Canal Street and Sixth Avenue and goes north up Sixth Avenue to 15th Street. This year's theme is Body & Soul.
To march, you need a costume: the organizers say only people in costume are welcome to march in the parade. The lineup area is at Canal Street and Sixth Avenue, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. You can only enter it from the east and south, by Sullivan, East Broome and Canal Streets, and if you come from the west, enter only from Canal Street. The official site also sells VIP tickets and places in a Special Theme Section that let you skip the line.
The organizers recommend the subway, since parking is always hard and the parade makes it worse. If you are watching rather than marching, plan the night on foot: a pre-drink in the West Village at Jack & Charlie's No. 118, the parade on Sixth Avenue, then one of the Village parties above.
Sunday, November 1, and how to pace the weekend
Sunday has six parties on our list, five of them Halloween themed, and most start in daylight. <a href="/parties/teksupport-circoloco-halloween-sunday-2026-11-01">Circoloco's Sunday session</a> at Brooklyn Storehouse starts at midday, <a href="/parties/halloween-2026-day-of-the-dead-1-hotel-2026-11-01">Day of the Dead at 1 Hotel</a> begins in the afternoon in Brooklyn Heights, and <a href="/parties/halloween-weekend-sunday-funday-dance-party-2026-11-01">Halloween Weekend Sunday Funday</a> at Bar 13 near Union Square plays 80s, disco and funk. Night owls have <a href="/parties/da-capo-b2b-enoo-napa-w-nathan-leong-2026-11-01">Jungle Galactica</a> at Somewhere Nowhere and a late lineup at <a href="/parties/mark-dumitrescu-sgx-b2b-la-peki-kazzan-franklin-santana-2026-11-01">SILO Brooklyn</a>.
Four nights is a lot, so pick two big ones and keep the others light. Daylight saving time ends early Sunday, November 1, when clocks fall back an hour, so Saturday night gets an extra hour.
