In short: 750 bars in NYC run a happy hour on Fridays, 508 with the deal spelled out. The cheapest drink we have on file: $1 at Inwood Bar & Grill. Most start at 4pm. Most are in Midtown, East Village, Upper West Side.
Friday has fewer happy hours than Thursday on our list, partly because a group of places run Monday to Thursday only. Manhattan still holds most of the Friday options. Williamsburg, the East Village and Times Square lead, followed by the Upper West Side and Greenwich Village, while Brooklyn has the most Friday listings outside Manhattan, then Queens, with only a handful in the Bronx.
A Friday happy hour in NYC splits into two shifts. The after-work window runs from late afternoon into the early evening at pubs like Jalopy Tavern in Carroll Gardens and Evalyn's Tap House in Gowanus. Then a smaller late-night shift picks up: Bobo in Greenwich Village pours happy hour martinis in its den on Friday and Saturday nights, and Soho Diner sends out wings and burgers in the small hours. Tip: a few spots, including Terravita in Washington Heights, start their Friday deal around lunchtime, useful if you get out of work early.
Martinis (classic, espresso, or french) $14 · Wines (sparkling, blanc, rosé, rouge) $8
Daily 5pm–7pm · Fri, Sat 10pm–12am · 181 W 10th St
Bobo is a French cocktail and wine bar on West 10th Street in Greenwich Village, a minute from Christopher Street on the 1. Its late happy hour runs only on Friday and Saturday nights in the den, with classic gin or vodka martinis, an espresso martini and wines. The den also hosts a daily early-evening apéro with oysters, per its menu.

black olives $10 · SOHO HOT WINGS $10
Fri, Sat 12am–2am · 320 West Broadway
Soho Diner on West Broadway is the Friday answer for very late: its happy hour starts when most others are long over and runs into the small hours on Friday and Saturday. Food is the draw, with Soho hot wings, crispy cheese curds, black-eyed pea hummus and a smash burger. The Canal Street A, C and E is one minute away.

$1 off all draught beer and well drinks
Tue–Fri 4pm–7pm · 317 Columbia St
Jalopy Tavern is a pub on Columbia Street in Carroll Gardens with money off all draft beer and well drinks in a late-afternoon window, and Friday is part of its schedule along with Wednesday and Thursday, per its listings. It is a ten-minute walk from the Carroll Street F and G, so it suits people already in the neighborhood.

Tue–Sun 4pm–7pm · Mon all day · 236 Butler Street

Margarita $10 · BEER $8
Mon–Thu 4pm–7pm · Fri 12pm–7pm · 4193 Broadway
Terravita in Washington Heights starts its Friday happy hour around lunchtime, hours earlier than its Monday-to-Thursday version, and the deal covers all areas of the restaurant. Hibiscus, spicy chinola and classic margaritas, an old fashioned, sauvignon blanc, merlot, cava and Stella Artois are on the list. The 175th Street A is two minutes away.

Sangria $8 · Margaritas $8
Mon–Thu 3pm–7pm · Fri 2pm–6pm · 3708 Riverdale Avenue
Tin Marin Tapas Bar on Riverdale Avenue in the Bronx runs an earlier Friday happy hour, starting and ending ahead of its Monday-to-Thursday window. Sangria, margaritas, house wines and all beers are on special. The 238th Street 1 station is seven minutes away, and it is the northernmost pick on this page.

Jell-O shot $5 · Beer & shot $8
Mon–Fri 5pm–8pm · Sun 3pm–8pm · 46 Greenwich Avenue
Greenwich Treehouse is a bar on Greenwich Avenue in the West Village, three minutes from the 14th Street station for the 1, 2, 3, F, L and M. Its Friday happy hour runs from early evening, with jell-o shots, a beer-and-shot pairing and money off all beer, wine and well drinks. By its own account it is dive-ish, with a jukebox and half a dance floor.
Deal checked Oct 29, 2026 on the bar's own site.
Most Friday deals end in the early evening, so the after-work window is the main event. For later, the late-night options on our list include Bobo and Soho Diner, which run on Friday and Saturday only, and Tanner Smith's near Times Square, which runs nightly from late evening until close.
Friday tabs get a sales tax of 8.875 percent and a tip of 18 to 20 percent on top of what the menu shows. Bobo's late deal is served only in the den, and Terravita's early start applies only on Friday. Check the last-checked date on each listing before you commit to a plan.
