In short: 308 bars in NYC run a happy hour on Saturdays, 203 with the deal spelled out. The cheapest drink we have on file: $1 at Papacito's. Most start at 4pm. Most are in Midtown, East Village, Upper West Side.
Saturday is the thinnest day of the week for happy hour on our list, far below the Thursday count. Manhattan has most of them, led by Times Square, the Upper West Side, the Upper East Side, the East Village and Greenwich Village. Williamsburg leads Brooklyn and Bushwick follows, while Queens has a smaller group.
A Saturday happy hour in NYC often looks different from the weekday version. Many bars move it to the daytime, as a brunch-hour or early-afternoon window that ends before evening: Sir Henry's near Times Square, The Malt House in Greenwich Village and Third Avenue Ale House on the Upper East Side all wrap up by mid-afternoon. Others, like The Rosemont in Williamsburg and Tre on the Lower East Side, start in the afternoon and keep going into the evening. Tip: weekend windows are often shorter and earlier than weekday ones, so check the hours shown beside each listing before you leave home.

Saturday deals split into two camps. Daytime windows that end by mid-afternoon include Sir Henry's, The Malt House, Third Avenue Ale House and Bitter Monk. Evening windows include The Rosemont, Tre and Bob's Your Uncle, and for a late crowd, Bobo in Greenwich Village and Soho Diner run happy hours on Friday and Saturday nights.
Weekend tabs still carry the 8.875 percent NYC sales tax, and a tip of 18 to 20 percent is standard. Saturday windows are often short and early, and some bars set different weekend hours than weekday ones, so read the days carefully. The last-checked date on each listing tells you how fresh our information is.
