Friday, Oct 16 AfroDesi New York

About the party

AfroDesi returns to New York with MR SAJ and friends at The Melrose Ballroom in Astoria, Queens, on Friday, October 16. AfroDesi is a music and dance brand that brings Afro and Desi communities onto one floor, and the promoter bills this as its final New York show of 2026.

What to expect

A high-energy, intimate dance party mixing music from the Afro-Caribbean and Indian diasporas. The promoter describes it as a safe, inclusive space for all communities. By entering you agree to be photographed and filmed for AfroDesi's channels. No dress code is stated. My take: a natural pick for anyone who wants Afrobeats and Bollywood anthems in the same set.
