About the party
Spirit Halloween Takeover at the Zoo is an early Halloween costume party at OBERON, 196 North 10th Street in Williamsburg, on Friday, Oct 23. The promoter bills it as their first Halloween celebration, running from 10 PM to 4 AM. The twist is costume recycling: guests are urged to bring back a look they have already worn.
What to expect
Costumes are strongly encouraged rather than required, and the promoter welcomes everything from funny and camp to sexy and over the top. The listing promises costume giveaways for the first 100 people through the door, and a group of hosts joins the DJs on the floor. My take: built for people who want to dress up a week ahead of Halloween and dance until close.
Music and lineup
Music by Luis Fernando, Rocket and Mack Mackey, per the DICE description. No genre is stated, and set times are not confirmed.
