Friday, Oct 23 Minty Boi Presents: swedm (Varg2tm + jamesjamesjames) with Kimj & Sausha

About the party

Minty Boi presents swedm, the duo of Varg2tm and jamesjamesjames, at The Brooklyn Monarch on Meadow Street in Williamsburg on Friday, Oct 23, with Kimj and Sausha also on the bill. Doors are at 11 PM and the night runs to 4 AM. swedm presents itself as a collaborative project devoted to heritage EDM, giving the club classics of European dance music's golden eras a modern, forward-looking treatment.

What to expect

The promoter positions the night against algorithm-driven, throwaway dance culture and wants to bring a sense of fantasy back to the floor. No theme or dress code is mentioned. My take: for fans of classic European club anthems who want them handled with an underground sensibility.

Music and lineup

Lineup from the listing: swedm (Varg2tm and jamesjamesjames), Kimj and Sausha. The description places swedm in EDM and classic European dance music and says the project formed in late 2024 during work on a Skrillex album. Styles for Kimj and Sausha and the set times are not confirmed.

Listed on DICE: swedm®, kimj, Sausha.
