The Vampire Ball opens with Night 1, Mischief Night, at Industry City in Sunset Park on Friday, October 30. Presented by House of Yes, David Kiss and The Village Halloween Parade, it bills itself as the largest annual gathering of vampires and creatures of the night, with ten stages across an indoor-outdoor site from 9 PM to 5 AM.

What to expect

Dress to kill: the looks list runs from vamp chic and fangs and leather to Dracula drag and blood-splattered everything. Beyond music there is a blood rave, the Titty Twister Cabaret, bone and blood readings, a dungeon with kink performances and a cursed potion bar. The organizers run a safer-spaces policy with zero tolerance for harassment, gender-inclusive restrooms and strobe lights throughout. My take: the night for people who want a festival-scale Halloween with a lot to explore.
