NAIRA returns to New York City on Friday, October 23, at Jolene Sound Room in Williamsburg, billed as a night of Afro Electronic Freedom. The party is curated by SYDNI LUV and presents itself as a movement, From Lagos, With Love. It runs from 10 PM to 4 AM.

What to expect

A dance-first night rooted, in the organizer's words, in African lineage and global Black rave culture. My take: this is for people who want a full night of Afro house and amapiano in a smaller Brooklyn room rather than a big-club production.

The organizer describes the music as Afro House, Afro Tech, Amapiano, Afrobeats, Gqom, electronic and global club music. Curator: SYDNI LUV. Whether SYDNI LUV also DJs, any other DJs, and set times are not confirmed.
