In short: 7 bars in Staten Island run a happy hour, 2 with the deal spelled out. The cheapest drink we have on file: $4 at Piccolino Restaurant. Most start at 3pm. Most are in Great Kills, Bulls Head, Dongan Hills.
Staten Island's places on our list are spread out rather than clustered. Chili's and Dave & Buster's sit on Richmond Avenue, the big commercial road through the middle of the island, and Cantina Valencia is on Richmond Road near the Jefferson Avenue station. The rest are on the South Shore: Joyce's Tavern by the Eltingville station, Piccolino Restaurant and Marina Cafe near Great Kills, and The Rock House Bar & Grill on Seguine Avenue toward Prince's Bay.
Staten Island happy hour on our list is mostly a weekday, after-work affair at pubs, Tex-Mex spots and Italian and American restaurants. The Rock House stands out with a deal every day, and it starts at midday. The Staten Island Railway, not the subway, is the train to know: it runs from St. George down to the South Shore. The Richmond Avenue restaurants are far from any station, so plan on a bus or a car for those.

Dave & Buster's on Richmond Avenue is the late option on the island: on top of a weekday afternoon happy hour, it runs a second window late in the evening from Sunday through Thursday. Margarita $6 · Tequila $7
Mon–Fri 3pm–6pm · 1497 Richmond Avenue
Chili's at 1497 Richmond Avenue keeps a weekday afternoon happy hour with a margarita of the month, a classic tequila margarita, house red and white wine, and domestic beers in two sizes. It is a straightforward chain option if you are already on the Richmond Avenue corridor. Like Dave & Buster's, it has no nearby station in our listing.

The Staten Island Railway runs from St. George, at the ferry terminal, to the South Shore, and three of our picks are within a short walk of a station: Cantina Valencia near Jefferson Avenue, Piccolino by Great Kills and Joyce's at Eltingville. The Rock House is a long walk from Prince's Bay, and the two Richmond Avenue chains are best reached by bus or car.
Staten Island prices are subject to the same 8.875 percent New York sales tax, and an 18 to 20 percent tip is still the norm. Piccolino, Cantina Valencia and Joyce's all keep their deals to the bar area. Because happy hours here change, check the last-checked date on each listing before making the trip.
