Happy Hour in Queens

Updated · refreshes daily

In short: 85 bars in Queens run a happy hour, 48 with the deal spelled out. The cheapest drink we have on file: $2.99 at Los Mismos Amigos. Most start at 4pm. Most are in Astoria, Ridgewood, Long Island City.

Astoria accounts for the biggest share of our Queens list by far. Jackson Heights follows, then Long Island City, Ridgewood and Forest Hills. Sunnyside and Flushing have a few between them, and a handful more sit farther out, on the Rockaway peninsula and in eastern Queens.

Most Queens happy hour deals run on weekdays, and only a minority of the list covers Saturday or Sunday. Astoria's bars cluster along 30th Avenue, Ditmars Boulevard, Broadway and Steinway Street, mostly reachable on the N and W, with the M and R serving the Steinway side. In Jackson Heights the 7 is the line to know. Food deals are less common in Queens than in Manhattan on our list, so the places that pair drinks with something to eat, such as The Rabbit Hole in Astoria and Cozy Corner in Ridgewood, are worth seeking out.

Getting around Queens

Queens is big, so pick a line and stay on it. The N and W cover most of Astoria. The 7 runs through Long Island City, Sunnyside, Jackson Heights and on to Flushing. The E, F, M and R follow Queens Boulevard to Forest Hills, the M continues to Ridgewood, and the A and the Rockaway Park shuttle reach the beach. Our eastern Queens listings have no subway station nearby.

Before you go

Add New York's 8.875 percent sales tax to menu prices, and tip 18 to 20 percent. Several Queens deals, Cobblestones' wings among them, are limited to dine-in or bar seating, so check the terms. Every listing shows when we last checked it, worth a glance since happy hours change.
