Fort Greene sits just east of Downtown Brooklyn and is home to Fort Greene Park, and our happy hour list follows its east-west streets. DeKalb Avenue carries most of it: Walters and Karasu share the address 166 DeKalb, with Colonia Verde and The Great Georgiana further east toward Clinton Hill. Olea is on Lafayette Avenue, Bar Francis is down on Fulton Street, and The Rockwell Place is on the Downtown Brooklyn side near Nevins Street.

The G is the neighborhood line, with the Fulton Street and Clinton-Washington Avenues stations within five minutes of most picks. Expect a Monday-to-Thursday rhythm: Walters, Karasu, Colonia Verde, Olea and Strange Delight all stop before Friday, and nothing on our list runs on the weekend, so a Fort Greene happy hour is a weeknight plan. The deals range from oysters and wine to sake, highballs and tapas. Tip: Karasu's menu is served at the bar only, so head straight for a stool.
