In short: 5 bars in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn run a happy hour, 3 with the deal spelled out. The cheapest drink we have on file: $5 at Finn's Corner. Most start at 4pm. Most are near the C, 2, 3, B trains.
Prospect Heights is the wedge of Brooklyn bounded by Flatbush Avenue, Atlantic Avenue, Eastern Parkway and Washington Avenue, with Vanderbilt Avenue running through the middle. Our list for the area is drawn wider than those lines. Alta Calidad on Vanderbilt, Finn's Corner on Washington and 333 Lounge on Flatbush sit in or on the edge of the neighborhood, while the biggest cluster lines Fulton Street just north of Atlantic, from Bar Francis at number 810 to Bati Ethiopian Kitchen at 1057. Another group runs along Franklin Avenue toward Crown Heights.
The mix is food-forward, with Mexican, Ethiopian and pizza restaurants well represented, plus oysters at Bar Francis and Mayfield and cheap pints at Famous Last Words. Almost everything happens on weekdays, though Belli Osteria, Mayfield and Arden run their Prospect Heights happy hour every day. Tip: the C at Clinton-Washington Avenues is a one- to five-minute walk from most of the Fulton Street bars, so it is the easiest base for hopping between several in one evening.

Mon–Thu 3pm–6pm · 552 Vanderbilt Avenue
Alta Calidad is a Mexican restaurant at 552 Vanderbilt Avenue whose happy hour, listed Monday through Thursday, is mostly botanas: salsas with tortilla chips, spinach queso fundido with chile piquín, and nachos with beans, crema and pico de gallo. It takes reservations, and the Clinton-Washington Avenues C stop is five minutes away.

Tue–Fri 5pm–8pm · Sat 4pm–6pm · 333 Flatbush Ave
333 Lounge is a bar on Flatbush Avenue a one-minute walk from the 7th Avenue B and Q station. Its happy hour specials run Tuesday through Friday into the evening, and the lounge's own page adds a shorter Saturday window, one of the few in the area. We have no item list for it yet, so confirm the specials with the bartender.

The C at Clinton-Washington Avenues covers the Fulton Street run, from Bar Francis and Belli Osteria to Emily, Famous Last Words and Xochitl Taqueria, and it is also the closest stop for Alta Calidad and Finn's Corner. The B and Q at 7th Avenue are a minute from 333 Lounge. For the Franklin Avenue group, the shuttle's Park Place stop serves Mayfield and Ras, and Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College on the 2, 3, 4 and 5 is a minute from Arden.
Listed prices do not include the 8.875 percent NYC sales tax or the customary 18 to 20 percent tip, so expect to pay more than the menu says. Several windows here are short, Belli Osteria's and Emily's among them, so arrive early. Each listing shows its last-checked date, and older ones are worth a quick call.
