In short: 6 bars in East Harlem, Manhattan run a happy hour, 3 with the deal spelled out. The cheapest drink we have on file: $6 at The Lexington Social. Most start at 4pm. Most are near the 6 trains.
East Harlem covers the northeast corner of Manhattan, roughly from 96th Street up to the Harlem River, between Fifth Avenue and the East River. Our list for happy hour in East Harlem splits into two clusters. Several spots line Lexington Avenue in the low 100s, all within a few minutes of the 103rd Street stop on the 6. The others sit farther east: Teddy's F&B Bar & Grill on Second Avenue in the 110s, and Santiago's Beer Garden on First Avenue in the upper 110s.
This is a small, mixed list, with neighborhood bars next to a Thai restaurant and a tapas spot. Teddy's leads on food, with empanadas and sliders on its happy hour menu, while Santiago's has the longest drink list. Teddy's and Chu Ros Thai keep their deals going seven days a week, which helps if you can only get uptown on a Saturday. Most windows here wrap up in the early evening, so aim to arrive soon after work rather than late.
