In short: 25 bars in Financial District, Manhattan run a happy hour, 21 with the deal spelled out. The cheapest drink we have on file: $5 at Ryan Maguire's Bar & Restaurant. Most start at 3pm. Most are near the 2, 3, 4, 5 trains.
The Financial District fills the southern tip of Manhattan, from Battery Park up past Wall Street toward the Brooklyn Bridge, with the Hudson on one side and the East River on the other. Our list splits into three pockets. The densest runs along Pearl, Stone and Broad Streets near Whitehall Street on the 1, R and W, where Toro Loco, Mexi, Route 66 Smokehouse and Mad Dog and Beans sit a few doors apart. A second group gathers around John Street and Maiden Lane by the Fulton Street hub, and Trinity Place has Half Moon and Wogies right at the Rector Street stop.
Financial District happy hour is built for the end of the workday. Almost every deal runs Monday through Friday from mid-afternoon, and many wrap up by early evening, so leaving the office on time matters. Margaritas show up on many menus, alongside draft beer, house wine and sangria. Weekends are thinner, though Zizi's Wine Bar, Broadstone Bar & Kitchen, Fresh Salt, Le District and Urban Cove Society & Kitchen keep their deals daily. One tip: Bill's Bar and Burger and Mad Dog and Beans honor their prices at the bar only.
