In short: 6 bars in Flatiron, Manhattan run a happy hour, 3 with the deal spelled out. The cheapest drink we have on file: $11 at Tarallucci e Vino. Most start at 4pm. Most are near the R, W, 6, F trains.
Flatiron takes its name from the wedge-shaped Flatiron Building, where Broadway crosses Fifth Avenue at 23rd Street, with Madison Square Park just to the east. Our list here is short and tightly grouped. Most of it sits just below the Flatiron Building on West 21st and West 22nd Streets between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, with Society Billiards + Bar across Fifth on East 21st. Hill Country Barbecue Market is the outlier, up on West 26th Street. The 23rd Street stations on the R and W and on the F and M are the ones to use, plus 28th Street on the R and W for Hill Country.
Flatiron happy hour is a weekday, after-work routine that mostly fits into a late-afternoon window. Beer, cocktails, wine and shots carry the deals, and Society Billiards + Bar adds bar food to the mix. Sagaponack runs its happy hour every day of the week. One tip: Hill Country serves its happy hour at the bar only, so head straight for a stool.
