In short: 9 bars in Nolita, Manhattan run a happy hour, 7 with the deal spelled out. The cheapest drink we have on file: $5 at The Grey Dog. Most start at 3pm. Most are near the 6, R, W, B trains.
Nolita, short for North of Little Italy, is a compact Manhattan grid bounded by East Houston Street, the Bowery and Lafayette Street, running south to around Broome Street. Our list here is small. The Grey Dog and Parm are a short walk apart near Mulberry and Spring Streets, Bondi Sushi is on Kenmare Street, and Botantica Bar sits on East Houston Street, with The GRID close to the Bleecker Street station on the northern edge. Spring Street on the 6 is the nearest station for the Mulberry and Kenmare spots, and the Bleecker Street complex adds the B, D, F and M.
Happy hour in Nolita leans on food and easy drinks. Parm puts Italian-American snacks like pizza knots and arancini on special, Bondi Sushi has crispy rice and hand rolls, and The GRID pairs cocktails with oysters and wings. The Grey Dog and Botantica Bar run every day, so they are the weekend options; the others keep to weekdays. Most windows close by early evening, so start early.

The 6 at Spring Street is the closest stop for The Grey Dog, Parm and Bondi Sushi. The Bleecker Street station, served by the 6, B, D, F and M, sits on the northern edge two or three minutes from Botantica Bar and The GRID. Prince Street on the R and W works if you are coming from the SoHo side.
Plan for the extras: menu prices leave out the 8.875 percent New York sales tax, and a tip of 18 to 20 percent is expected on top. Parm's half-off deal covers select cocktails, wines and drafts rather than the whole list, so ask which ones qualify. Small neighborhood spots tweak their deals, so look at the date we last checked each listing before you set out.
