In short: 19 bars in West Village, Manhattan run a happy hour, 15 with the deal spelled out. The cheapest drink we have on file: $5 at Art Bar. Most start at 4pm. Most are near the L, A, C, E trains.
The West Village is the western corner of Greenwich Village, between Seventh Avenue South and the Hudson River, running up to 14th Street, where it meets the Meatpacking District. Our list follows three lines through it: Hudson Street in the blocks south of Gansevoort Street, Greenwich Avenue and the side streets around Bank and Perry, and the Meatpacking blocks on Ninth Avenue, Little West 12th Street and Washington Street. The 8th Avenue station at 14th Street, served by the A, C, E and L, is the nearest stop for the largest share, and the 1 at Christopher Street–Stonewall covers the southern streets.
West Village happy hour skews toward restaurants and cocktail bars, and the fine print matters: Osteria Nonnino and Jack & Charlie's No. 118 run every day but only at the bar and outdoors, while Rockbar on Christopher Street keeps it simple with two-for-one beer and liquor. Rory's Rooftop takes half off drinks and appetizers on weekdays, and oysters show up at Jack & Charlie's. Many windows close in the early evening, so aim to arrive soon after work.
Menu Happy Hour Oysters $2
Daily 4pm–7pm · 118 Greenwich Ave
Jack & Charlie's No. 118 is a New American bar and restaurant at 118 Greenwich Avenue with a happy hour every day of the week, served at the bar and on the patio only. Oysters by the piece and a happy hour Caesar salad are on its sunset menu. The 8th Avenue station on the A, C, E and L is two minutes away, and Resy handles bookings.

WINE $10.31 · Estrella Galicia Lager $20.62
Tue–Fri 4pm–6pm · 575 Hudson St

DRAFTS $8 · WINES $10
Mon–Fri 3pm–7pm · 39 Greenwich Avenue
Wogies on Greenwich Avenue is a restaurant with one of the longer weekday windows here, from mid-afternoon into the evening. All drafts, all wines and select cocktails, including the Wogies spritz, an espresso martini and a Krazy margarita, are discounted. A service fee is added to checks, so factor that in. Christopher Street–Stonewall on the 1 is three minutes away.
Deal checked Oct 29, 2026 on the bar's own site.
The 8th Avenue station at 14th Street, served by the A, C, E and L, is the nearest stop for more bars on our list than any other, covering Hudson Street above Bank Street, the western end of Greenwich Avenue and the Meatpacking blocks. The 1 stops at Christopher Street–Stonewall, closest to Hudson Hound, Wogies, The Mary Lane and Rockbar near the river. Bars around Seventh Avenue and Bank Street are also easy from 14th Street on the 1, 2, 3, F, M and L. West Village streets bend off the grid, so trust the walking times on each listing over a quick look at the map.
Menu prices leave out the 8.875 percent New York sales tax, and plan on an 18 to 20 percent tip as well. Bar-only and patio-only rules are common in the West Village: Osteria Nonnino, Jack & Charlie's No. 118, Mēdüzā Mediterrania and Bill's Bar & Burger all set limits. Look at the last-checked date on each listing to see how recently we confirmed the deal.
